Wild Studio Architecture + Design is a small practice based in the Scottish Highlands, established in 2019 by Architect Victoria Hazell.
The practice specialises in residential architecture, including new build homes; renovations and extensions to existing homes; and conversions - bringing new life to existing buildings and structures. Our aim is to create high quality, rational architecture through a rigorous design approach.
We work across the Highlands and Islands, and Moray.
VICTORIA HAZELL BA(Hons) Dip Arch ARB RIAS RIBA
Victoria graduated in 2007 from the University of Greenwich in London, and has accumulated extensive design and technical experience from working in architectural practices in Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.
Drawing on this experience she can bring well-considered, beautiful design solutions to each project brief.
Victoria is a Member of the ARB, RIAS and RIBA.
The following key principles are incorporated into our design process:
As every project and client is different, we don’t believe in pre-conceived designs, instead approaching each project with a fresh outlook.
With careful consideration of budget and timescale, we will work closely with our clients to establish the brief, then maintain an open dialogue as the design evolves. We aim to ensure a personal service and value for money.
OF THE PLACE
We believe architecture should belong to the place, with design solutions which respond to specific site conditions and utilise light to its best advantage. Buildings which sit naturally within the landscape, using materials that reflect and respond to the place.
Wherever possible we aim to incorporate renewable technologies and use locally-sourced and natural materials in our projects, as we have a responsibility to reduce environmental impact.
Our ultimate aim is to create finely detailed, comfortable, beautiful spaces to enjoy and in which to capture many happy memories.
Projects can be visualised in 3D to help clients get a feel for the building and interior spaces.
